Grow a Garden Calculator

Calculate the exact Sheckle value of any crop using weight and mutation stacking. Select your crop, enter its weight, pick your active mutations, and see your final sell price instantly. Free, no login, works on any device.

Select a crop…

Mutations multiply multiplicatively: Rainbow (50×) + Shocked (100×) = 5,000× not 150×. Select all that are active on your crop.

How the Grow a Garden Calculator Works

In both Grow a Garden and Grow a Garden 2, every crop's Sheckle sell price is calculated from the same underlying formula. Understanding it means you can predict the exact value of any harvest before you sell and decide when to wait for a better mutation or a heavier weight.

The formula used in this calculator is the publicly verified sell price equation, confirmed through community testing across thousands of harvests. In Grow a Garden (original), the formula is:

Final Value = Base Price × (Weight / Base Weight)² × Variant Multiplier × [1 + (Sum of all mutation multipliers) − Number of mutations]

The key insight is that mutations stack multiplicatively in the variant slot and additively in the standard mutation slot. The variant (None/Gold/Rainbow) sets the baseline tier, while additional mutations like Shocked, Celestial, and Frozen add their multipliers on top. A Rainbow (50×) variant with Shocked (100×) and Celestial (120×) does not add up to 270× it compounds to over 1,200,000×. This is why understanding stacking order matters more than just knowing individual multipliers.

All Major Mutation Multipliers Grow a Garden

These are the most important, stable mutations and their verified multipliers. Mutations are grouped by how you obtain them:

Voidtouched135×StandardRare event; Mythical+ crops only
Dawnbound150×Admin/EventDev-triggered event; very rare
Frozen10×StandardBlizzard event or Polar Bear pet
BloodlitStandardBlood Moon event

Why Weight Matters More Than Most Players Realize

The weight-to-value relationship in Grow a Garden is quadratic, not linear. Doubling your crop's weight does not double its value it quadruples it. This is the most underappreciated mechanic in the game. A Carrot at 0.48 kg sells for four times more than a Carrot at 0.24 kg, before any mutations are applied. This means investing in sprinklers and size-boosting gear pays off exponentially for high-base-value crops. On a Legendary or Mythical crop with a Rainbow + Shocked stack, a 2× weight improvement becomes a 4× increase in an already enormous number.

Grow a Garden 2 What's Different

Grow a Garden 2 launched on June 12, 2026 and simplifies the mutation system: each crop carries only one mutation at a time (new mutations replace old ones), so stacking is not possible. The formula shifts to a direct multiplier: Final Value = Base Value × Size Multiplier × Mutation Multiplier × Friend Boost × Decay Factor. Weather events still determine which mutation is available, and the strategy shifts to timing your harvest around the highest-multiplier events. Electric (70×) from Thunder events and Blizzard (40×) are the most farmable high-multiplier mutations in GAG2.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you calculate crop value in Grow a Garden?
The formula is: Final Value = Base Price × (Weight / Base Weight)² × Variant Multiplier × [1 + (Sum of mutation multipliers) − Number of mutations]. Mutations stack multiplicatively through the variant, and additively in the mutation slots. This calculator applies that formula automatically when you select your crop, weight, and mutations.
Do mutations stack in Grow a Garden?
Yes, in the original Grow a Garden, multiple mutations can stack on one crop. They do not add they compound. Rainbow (50×) + Shocked (100×) produces 5,000× total multiplier, not 150×. The variant (None/Gold/Rainbow) multiplies the base, then each additional mutation multiplies what is already there. In Grow a Garden 2, only one mutation sits on a crop at a time.
What is the highest mutation multiplier in Grow a Garden?
Among regularly farmable mutations, Voidtouched (135×) for Mythical+ crops and Celestial (120×) are the highest. Disco (125×) and Dawnbound (150×) exist but are admin-event-only and not reliably obtainable. Astral (365×) is the highest in the game but is exclusively available during admin events. For practical farming, stacking Shocked (100×) with a Rainbow (50×) variant during a Thunderstorm is the most accessible high-value combination.
What does weight do in Grow a Garden?
Weight determines the crop's value multiplier through a quadratic formula: value scales with (weight / base weight)². Doubling a crop's weight quadruples its sell price before mutations. This makes size-boosting sprinklers and gear extremely valuable especially on high-rarity crops with good mutation stacks, where even a small weight increase produces a large Sheckle gain.
What is the best crop to grow in Grow a Garden?
For maximum Sheckle value per harvest, Mythical and Divine-tier crops like Candy Blossom, Crimson Thorn, and Cocomango have the highest base values and are compatible with Voidtouched (135×), making them the best mutation targets. For consistent income from a new account, multi-harvest Common and Uncommon crops like Tomato and Blueberry provide steady Sheckles while you save for rare seeds.
How do friend boosts work in Grow a Garden?
Each online friend linked through the Friendship Pot adds +10% to the system sell price of your crops. The maximum is 4 friends for a +40% total boost. This stacks on top of all mutation multipliers so on a high-value mutated crop, 4 friends adds a significant flat bonus. Friend boosts apply only to the Grow a Garden original, not GAG2.
Is this calculator accurate?
This calculator uses the publicly verified sell price formula confirmed through community testing. Base crop values and mutation multipliers are sourced from the community wiki and verified player testing. The core formula has not changed since the game launched. Note: new crops and mutations are added with major updates base values for brand-new event crops may not be reflected until verified.
Is this calculator free?
Yes, completely free, runs in your browser, requires no account, and stores nothing. Calculate as many crops as you need.
